Eliminates refrigeration compressor, reducing maintenance and operational costs
- Refrigerated temperature range (15 to 40°C) covers BOD applications and meets American Public Health Association (APHA) specifications
- Excellent temperature uniformity allows for effective space utilization assuring all areas are maintained at proper temperatures
- Access ports provide power access for operating stirrers and rotators
- Includes RS-485 communication interface and 40-step programmable controller
Incubators feature a Peltier (thermoelectric) cooling system instead of a refrigeration compressor — the most commonly serviced part on standard incubators. Peltier cooling consumes 75% less power and does not use refrigerant gases. This innovative technology is "greener" and saves you money since there is no compressor to replace or recharge.
The temperature range covered is ideal for biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) testing and other low-temperature applications. Mechanical convection is used to circulate air, providing even air and temperature distribution resulting in excellent temperature uniformity (±0.55°C at 15 to 28°C and 50% RH). The superior uniformity ensures all shelf areas are maintained at the proper temperature, and virtually doubles the capacity of these units compared to compressor-run gravity convection units.
Heavy-duty shelves have a 75-pound capacity to handle the increased load without sagging and the corrosion-resistant painted stainless steel interior is easy to clean. Additional shelves are available as accessories in stationary and pull-out versions.
Access ports can be used for additional monitoring or to provide power to stirrer and rotators placed inside. Units come standard with RS-485 interface and independent over-temperature thermostat with alarm. Built-in temperature controller lets you program 40-step ramp/soak profiles or four files with 10 steps per file.
