Ideal for storing life science samples, these deep-well plates serve many application purposes, such as cultivation of microorganisms, extraction for nucleic acids or proteins and screening studies.

The durable plates withstand temperatures from -80 to 121 °C. They can be used with a variety of multichannel pipettes or automatic liquid handling systems; autoclavable at 121 °C for 20 minutes. The plates are free of RNase, DNase, endotoxins and DNA, excluding, model, 07904-06.

The conical V-shaped bottom of plates with 384 wells is ideal for pelleting and maximum sample recovery. Plates with 96 wells feature an edgeless design with U-shape bottoms for optimal sample mixing. One plate, model 07904-31 features a space saving design, requiring 30-percent less space than standard models, and shallower wells with larger cross section, making it ideal for low-profile automated systems.

To reduce the risk of sample evaporation or contamination, deep well sealing mats (sold separately) should be used to provide an effective plug seal for individual wells.
