Use a hydraulic lab press to test the physical limits of ceramics, composites, construction materials, resins, and more. The hydraulic lab press is ideal as a lab press. Its compact size doesn’t take up too much of your bench space while still providing a 12 ton (24,000 lb) maximum clamping force. Another lab press of this type is the automatic lab press. It comes in two varieties—with and without heated platens. Heated platens are required for molding, lamination, or other applications requiring heat and pressure. The base of all units have holes for permanent bench mounting. Safety features include a 10-gauge steel shield with a see-through, shatterproof polycarbonate access door.
